Thanks to its special shape, which resembles a saxophone, our latest electrode is one of th most reliable instruments for vagus stimulation to provide continous monitoring of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. It encloses the nervee and is optimally adapted to the anatomical structures with its shape and curved integrated electrode surfaces. The saxophone electrode can be easily removed with just a small tug, with out causing any risk for the nerve.

Continous neuromonitoring

Thanks to the permanent stimulation of the vagus nerve, which literally happens in the background, critical signal changes, such as those indicating a strain of the recurrent laryngeal nerve, can be noticed before it is too late. Optionally, surgeons can display the long-term trend lines of the critical measuring parameters amplitude and latency. Adjustable alarm signals help the surgical team to recognize stress situations of the nerve at the right time to avoid damage.
